RAMESHWARAM- TEMPLE

RAMESHARAM TEMPLE IS A HINDU TEMPLE DEDICATION TO THE HINDU GOD SHIVA LOCATED ON RAMESWARAM ISLAND IN THE STATE OF TAMIL NADU. IT IS ONE OF THE 275 PAADAL PETRA STHALAMS, THE TEMPLE WAS EXPANDED DURING THE 12th CENTURY BY THE PANDYA DYNASTY.

INTRODUTION

THIIS IS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION OF RAMESHWARAM-TEMPLE TO VISIT TWO MOST VISITING PLACES IN RAMESHWARAM (Agni teertham, D.R .A.P.J abdul kalam medical,  RAMAR PADAM).

BY  TRAIN:- TO  reach rameshwaram by train , you can tak a train rameswaram railway station.once you arrive, you can visit the famos ramanthaswamy temple, which is a major pilgrimage site for hindus.

BY AIR:- Rameshwaram does not have its own airport. Rameshwaram via flight, you have to land at the madurai airport, IS the fourth busiest airport in tamil nadu after chennai, coimbator.

BY ROAD:- TAKE the chennai-villupuram-trichy-madurai-rameshwaram route. whyich is about 160 kilometer away from chennai. from villupuram, continue on NH45 to reach trich.

   AGNI- THEERTHAM

AGNI TIRTHAM is one of the tirthas of rameswaram, tamil nadu, INDIA. BEACH east of ramanathaswamy temple is know by this name. tirtham is one of the most visited tirthams of rameswaram for a holy bath.




        RAMAR PADAM

RAMAR-PADAM is a historical significate place where lord rama and his army were resting and planning their jorney to sri lanka. lord hanuman took a long leap to - wards sri lanka from from this hill in search of goddess sita. AT this temple , lord rama's feet are imprinted on tum at the premises of the temple.



   D.R A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM

D.R A.P.J ABDUL KALAM NATIONAL memorial is a mausoleum in memory of A.P.J ABDUL KALAM (1931-2015),THE memorial was designed and constructed by defence research and delopment organisation ( DRDO) as a tribute to kalam and to display the cultural heritage and ethnic diversity of india.
