Gurudwara paonta sahib is known for tenth guru Guru Govind Singh.Between the states of himachal and uttarakhand there is the river. Shri guru gobind singh ji at the age of 16 stopped his horse at this place and he decided to stay here he lived here for four and a half years, and wrote "Dasham Granth".After that he moved to anandpur sahib to establish Khalsa Panth.
